A day in the life of Easter quarantine

With 3 weeks being added to quarantine in the UK, I had to just do this and share an example day in my life. How I keep up my training, re-hab and a healthy lifestyle. I have so many posts I am excited to write and share but I just had to post this!! Annett, this one's for you ;)
Disclaimer: The Grinch and I have a lot in common...

So I wake up... I can't tell you an exact time, it really depends. Usually between 9-11 am which I think is early for this situation... My parents disagree. I remind them for someone my age that it is actually quite early. They still disagree.

Once I'm finally up, I go straight downstairs and have breakfast and a coffee. No matter what the day consists of, I will never compromise this. Breakfast IS the most important meal of the day - thank you, Dad, for always teaching me that. If people try to tell you that skipping breakfast is great and that it is one less meal so you'll be skinny, they're lying. Breakfast jump-starts your metabolism, helping you burn calories throughout the day (if that's your aim, it's personally not mine) and by eating protein in the morning, it keeps you satiated for much longer. I just need it because I wake up hungry tbh. There you go, now eat your brekky with no excuses!
Also, an espresso a day IS AN ESSENTIAL -for me anyway :)

Make your bed - this is actually really satisfying. Again, I'm sorry Dad for 16 years of not doing this. I am now!

Once I've done that, the procrastination begins. This is the ABSOLUTE REALITY.

At the moment, I still have some schoolwork to make sure is completed and coursework to be handed in for the next week or two so that is my priority. Depending on the workload, school maybe my focus for the day. For the past two days, it has. I've had my head in my laptop all day and have barely moved. Other days I will focus on my training.

Depending on online classes, I will do ballet, pilates or something throughout the day. Listen to your body. To all dancers: I was given some amazing advice from a pro and I have to share- we never get this much time to do what we want, don't take it for granted!!
For me, I have used this time to develop myself and technique and explore the gaga movement language. For me, this movement has been like yoga or meditation but an alternative as I can't sit still!!

It takes me absolutely ages to build myself up to do this, sorry not sorry. Usually, I will get it done. In the middle of that, my family have most likely made pizza or beans on toast or eggs- something for lunch so I will have some food then!

Listen to great music. Deep clean your room. Go for the one walk of the day. Cheeky sit and stress about the things I'm procrastinating but still won't do.

Then I'll have tea sat with the fam. I may carry on doing some work, dance or academic. I may just sit by the fire or watch a movie.

To be quite honest, this is realistic. There is barely any routine other than what I feel I need to get done and what makes me happy. You do you. Don't feel the pressures of the socials, it's not worth it. Every day is different. The other day I did ballet at 11:30pm... don't even ask.

Next week will be completely different as virtual school will be restarting but for now... this is the 'day in my life'. Nothing special.

Stay motivated. Stay safe. Stay realistic- life ain't perfect or instagrammable.

  1. A great blab! And good advice. Can't believe your dad got two mentions. No acknowledgement that I bought two packets of halloumi and fried some for you. Really?!

  2. Some corporations solely work with a pre-existing design while others offer support all through the entire product growth process. We have been capable of to} design a mould for the gutter cleaner, build a prototype, software the mould, and begin manufacturing in just some months. Once you pay for the initial cost of the mould, the labor prices are low precision machining to operate it. Over time, the mold’s high manufacturing rate can pay for some, if not all of itself. A good rule of thumb is to maintain walls less than or equal to 4mm thick.
